Installing Your Bot on MT5
From download to live trading in under 10 minutes — including how to compile source files through MetaEditor.

💻Download & Open MetaTrader 5
Install MT5 from your broker (we recommend Exness) or from metatrader5.com. Log in with your trading account credentials.

📁Open the Data Folder
In MT5, click "File" → "Open Data Folder". This opens the folder where MT5 stores your Expert Advisors, indicators, and profiles.

📋Copy Your Bot File
Navigate to MQL5 → Experts inside the data folder. Paste the bot file you downloaded from us (.ex5 or .mq5) into this Experts folder.

🛠️Compile via MetaEditor (for .mq5 source files)
If your bot is a .mq5 source file, press F4 in MT5 to open MetaEditor. Find the file under Experts in the Navigator, double-click it, then press F7 (Compile). You should see "0 errors" — this produces the executable .ex5 file.

🔄Refresh the Navigator
Go back to MT5, right-click "Expert Advisors" in the Navigator panel (Ctrl+N if hidden), and click "Refresh". Your new bot appears in the list.

🟢Enable Algo Trading
Click the "Algo Trading" button in the top toolbar so it turns green. Also go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors and tick "Allow algorithmic trading".

📈Attach the Bot to a Chart
Open the chart of the pair/timeframe the bot is designed for. Drag the bot from the Navigator onto the chart. In the popup, tick "Allow Algo Trading", review inputs, and click OK.

✅Verify It's Running
You should see the bot name with a green cap icon at the top-right of the chart, plus a smiley/algo icon. Check the 'Experts' tab at the bottom for its startup logs. You're live! 🎉
💡 Pro Tips
- ✔ Run the bot on a VPS for 24/7 uptime — bots only trade while MT5 is running.
- ✔ Always test on a demo account first before going live.
- ✔ Use the recommended pair, timeframe and minimum balance for each bot.
- ✔ Never remove the bot from the chart while it has open trades unless intended.
- ✔ Keep 'Algo Trading' enabled — if the icon is red, the bot cannot trade.
